Program Overview
This program supports a positive transition to primary school and helps build confidence and readiness in the lead-up to school life. A strong focus is placed on creating a positive, supportive atmosphere as children prepare for this important transition.
Activities and skills covered include building emotional awareness and problem-solving skills, basic assertiveness and communication skills, routines and transitions (including separation from carers), and participation in group activities (both floor-based and table-top).
Children will also develop fine motor skills, independence, friendships, and positive play skills such as turn-taking, sharing, and managing winning and losing.
Individual areas of need are considered for each child and incorporated alongside group dynamics and the broader social environment.
This program is suitable for children transitioning to Prep, or for those needing additional support to consolidate skills and readiness for Grade 1.
*Minimum of 3 children required for the program to proceed.
